First, a biofeedback program is offered that teaches self-regulation skills specific to chronic pain or anxiety. We teach you various breathing exercises in combination with your cardiac variability, with the aim of increasing the relative percentage of low-frequency heart rhythms, self-awareness and self-modulation of heart rate with and without feedback from the sensors.
The American Migraine Foundation recommends biofeedback training combined with relaxation and cognitive behavioral treatment for the preventive treatment of migraine.
